Why Donate

Dear Funder:

Because one in four children in the U.S. under the age of 18 are exposed to alcohol abuse or dependence in the family, it is imperative to continue creating programs that extend beyond initial treatment and focuses on the family afterward.  With substance use disorders on the rise in Utah it is essential for our communities to have support resources available to meet this growing need.

Currently the Riley Foundation offers no cost social support resources such as free family workshops and individual needs based scholarships. These programs help families become independent and overcome common barriers to longterm success.  In addition to our free services for families, our orgainization participates in community outreach efforts that spread awareness and education regarding addiction issues.  Our goal is to be a constant source of hope and understanding for families in need and an advocate for addiction issues here in Utah.

Our hope at the Riley Foundation is for children and families across the state of Utah to have easy access to the types of support networks needed to deal with the longterm realities of substance use issues.  Our belief is that families heal from addiction together and healthy families build stronger communities.

The Riley Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, devoted to making a difference in the lives of children impacted by substance abuse. Donations in any amount ensure that we can continue offering support programs for children and their families. Although one in four children (18 million, 2011) in the U.S. under the age of 18 are exposed alcohol abuse or substance dependance in the family, very few programs exist that include these children as a part of the continuum of care.
